Continuing Medical Education

The Cubist Medical Affairs Department is committed to funding high quality, independent continuing medical education for healthcare professionals in the area of Infectious Disease.

Policy Statement

Cubist Pharmaceuticals may support bona fide independent medical education grants to third party organizations or institutions—not individual healthcare providers—for sponsoring an educational program or other activity that may provide a legitimate public health or patient care benefit. A program supported by an educational grant is for scientific and educational purposes only and does not promote Cubist or its pharmaceutical products, directly or indirectly.

All educational grants are processed through the Medical Affairs Department and are reviewed based on demonstrated medical need and on the scientific merit of the program. An educational grant is not determined in a manner that takes into account the volume or value of any business otherwise generated with Cubist nor is it conditioned upon the purchase, use, recommending or arranging for the use of any Cubist product.

Marketing and Sales are not involved in the decision of awarding an educational grant.
