Ed Campanaro, M.S., Vice President, Clinical Operations
Ed Campanaro, M.S. has served as our Vice President, Clinical Operations and Data Management since December 2007. He joined Cubist Pharmaceuticals in February 2000 as Senior Director of Clinical Development and later became Executive Director of Clinical Operations. Mr. Campanaro has managed and coordinated Cubist teams responsible for the execution of all company-sponsored human clinical trials, including the pivotal international programs that supported FDA approval of Cubicin for various indications. Prior to joining Cubist, Mr. Campanaro served as Director of Clinical Development at Cambridge NeuroScience, Inc. from 1993 to 1997, where he established the company’s Clinical Department and managed the Phase I through III international trial program of a neuroprotective agent in acute ischemic stroke and severe traumatic brain injury. From 1987 to 1993, and again from 1998 to 2000, he held various positions in Project and Clinical Monitoring Management at AAIPharma, Inc. (formerly MTRA), a Contract Research Organization. Prior to entering the pharmaceutical industry, he held positions in acute cardiac care and staff management at Massachusetts General Hospital and while serving as an officer in the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Campanaro holds a B.S. degree in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts-Boston and an M.S. in Clinical Research Administration from George Washington University.
